Dyslexia Genius Malaysia’s Training Team was invited by SEAMEO SEN to conduct training session for government school teachers on “Teaching Approaches for Learners with Dyslexia and Dysgraphia”
DGM Training Team headed by En Jaldeen Ali and Dr Bulan Ayu assisted by facilitators Cik Nur Amirah and Cik Erra Farhana spoke and conducted training for 60 government school teachers from Southern Region (Johor, Melaka & Negeri Sembilan) on sub-types of dyslexia and dysgraphia, teaching techniques, how to handle students, reading assessment reports, understanding students’ core difficulties, choosing the right teaching strategies, preparation of IEP/RPI, implementing teaching strategies and developing homemade teaching materials to support the teaching strategies.
Special Thanks to Director of SEAMEO SEN Puan Jamilah Kadir, Puan Monishah, Head of Training SEAMEO SEN, Puan Suhaila, Puan Mas and all SEAMEO SEN’s support staff for recognizing, supporting and entrusting DGM with such an important task. Not forgetting their hospitality and the very comfortable accomodation for DGM Team.
A note of appreciation to all the 60 participants who showed interest throughout the session, asked enquiring questions, and managed to implement what they learned in the workshop we organized at the end of the session. We hope that the training would be beneficial to both teachers and students..
